Innate mental health is a term used to describe the natural psychological health built into human beings. On a physical level everyone is different, but at the deepest level of being human (the spirit) we are hard wired with resilience, wisdom, the capacity for new thought, insight and creativity. When we are in alignment with the truth of how our minds work (the Three Principles) we experience natural self-esteem, calm, clarity, happiness, joy, peace, contentment, humor, lightheartedness, love, compassion, forgiveness, gratitude and much more. Have you ever noticed the moments when your thinking quiets down and a nice, calm feeling comes over you? Mental well being is built into our system. It is ever present behind the scenes, like the sun is always shining, even when we can’t see it behind clouds or at night. Just as when clouds pass or the earth turns, the sun reappears because it shines constantly. When thinking passes that is tormenting us, we return to peace and calm-our default of innate health.
“Mental health lies within the consciousness of all human beings, but it is shrouded and held prisoner by our own erroneous thoughts. This is why we must look past our contaminated thoughts to find the purity and wisdom that lies inside our own consciousness.”
